Char Dham Yatra Offline Travel Registration: 10 Lakh Devotees Expected in First 15 Days

Char Dham Yatra Offline Travel Registration: 10 Lakh Devotees Expected in First 15 Days

The sacred Char Dham Yatra is set to begin on 30 April, and the Uttarakhand government is fully prepared to welcome the huge number of pilgrims expected this year. Around 10 lakh people are likely to arrive in the first 15 days alone. To manage this large crowd smoothly, offline travel registration for Char Dham Yatra will be available at multiple centers.

This year, the state government has created a special plan to make the journey safe, easy, and organized for all visitors. One of the key rules is that pilgrims will only be allowed to visit the shrines on the date they register for. This helps in controlling the crowd and ensuring everyone gets a peaceful darshan experience.

Where Can You Do Char Dham Yatra Offline Travel Registration?

To make registration easy for all, offline counters have been set up at:

  • Rishikesh

  • Haridwar

  • Vikasnagar

  • Herbertpur

  • Naya Gaon

Pilgrims who haven’t registered online can visit these locations to complete their Char Dham Yatra offline travel registration.

VIP Travel Alert: May Dates Restricted

The government has also made a special request to VIP guests. As per the official protocol, VIP travel should be avoided from 2 May to 31 May. Uttarakhand’s Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has sent letters to other states asking them to hold back VIP movement during this period to ensure smooth travel for general pilgrims.

Safety and Crowd Control Measures

To ensure safety at all Char Dham shrines, entry will be based on daily registration limits. Devotees will be allowed to visit the temples only on the specific date mentioned in their registration. This rule will help manage large crowds and prevent any inconvenience or unsafe situations at the sacred sites.
