Kedarnath Dham Current News : Uttarakhand PWD is working to repair the travel routes before starting the Char Dham Yatra in the coming year 2025. Last year, the crowd of devotees during the Yatra was more than expected. Due to which many types of chaos were seen due to the lack of proper travel routes. Therefore, the government has decided to repair the travel routes before the start of the Yatra in the coming year 2025. In this episode, the old route going to Kedarnath Dham is being prepared.
Old Garudachatti route for Kedarnath temple
The Public Works Department is busy preparing the route from old Garudachatti to Kedarnath temple for Kedarnath temple. If this route is ready, then there will be another route option to go to the temple. This route will also be about one km shorter.
Currently, devotees are going to Kedarnath Dham via Gauri Kund- Bhimbali- Lyncholi. Now PWD is busy in preparing another route from Garudchatti to the temple. This is the old route which was damaged in the disaster of 2013.
Kedarnath Dham Current News – Option of another route to go to Kedarnath temple
According to PWD officials, under the old route, the route from Bhimbali to Garudchatti was repaired about five years ago, now the work of making about eight km route from Garudchatti to the temple is going on.
Work is being done to make a route of about three meters width by cutting the hill here. This route will join the bridge near the old Mandakini near the temple. This route will be one km shorter than the current route.
There was an old route to Kedarnath, work is going on to start it. With the completion of this route, there will be an option of another route to go to Kedarnath temple. This will provide convenience to the pilgrims. This route will be comparatively shorter, this will also provide convenience to the local people in the work of carrying goods. Apart from this, the road on which the yatra was going on was damaged in the disaster, efforts are being made to restore it to its old form. Work is also going on regarding this. Construction work will continue until the snow does not fall.
