Shri Madmaheshwar Second Kedar Temple Doors Closed : The doors of the second Kedar Shri Madmaheshwar temple, reputed among the Panchkedars located in Uttarakhand, were closed for the winter season with rituals in the morning (20th November) at an auspicious time. On this occasion the temple was lavishly decorated with flowers.
The festive procession of Lord Madmaheshwar left for the first stop Goundar in the presence of devotees amid the sound of Dev Nishans and the echo of local musical instruments.
More than two hundred and fifty devotees were present on this auspicious occasion of closing of doors. After morning prayers and darshan, the process of closing the doors of the second Kedar temple sanctum was started. Priest T. Gangadhar Linga closed the doors at the auspicious time in the presence of senior administrative officers DS Bhujwan and Ramesh Negi.
The self-proclaimed Shivalinga of Lord Madmaheshwar was taken to Samadhi form and covered with flowers, fruits, flowers and Akshat. After the doors were closed, Lord Madmaheshwar Ji’s palanquin along with the temple committee staff and devotees circumambulated the temple and inspected the ancient utensils and material.

18,000 devotees visited
Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal said that this year more than 18,000 devotees had darshan of Second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar Ji. BKTC President Ajendra Ajay and Vice President Kishore Panwar expressed happiness on this auspicious occasion while wishing the devotees. A day before the closure of the doors, Yagya-Havan was performed in Shri Madmaheshwar Temple.

Chal Vigraha Doli Program – Second Kedar Temple Doors Closed
BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaur informed that the Utsav Doli of Lord Madmaheshwar ji will reach Goundar today for night rest. Will stay at Rakeshwari temple on 21st November and rest at Giriya on 22nd November. After this, on 23rd November it will reach its winter seat Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. With this, winter worship of Lord Madmaheshwar will begin in Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath.
Preparations for Madmaheshwar fair
Madmaheshwar fair will be organized on 23rd November with the arrival of Lord Madmaheshwar ji’s palanquin at Ukhimath. Officer-in-charge Yaduveer Pushpavan told that Shri Omkareshwar Temple is being decorated with flowers. A large number of devotees are expected to attend the fair.
Yagya-Havan before closing the doors
A day before the doors were closed, a ritual yagya-havan was organized in the temple. The doors of the temple were opened today at 4:30 am and after the morning puja, Lord Madmaheshwar ji was seen. After this the process of closing the doors started.
Dignitaries and devotees present
On this auspicious occasion of closing of the doors, Officer-in-charge Yaduveer Pushpavan, Priest T. Gangadhar Linga, Temple Committee employees Pareshwar Trivedi, Dinesh Panwar, Forest Department employees and a large number of devotees were present.
In this way, the palanquin of Lord Madmaheshwar ji has now moved towards. Its next stop for winter stay and the devotees will now worship him at Shri Omkareshwar Temple.
